What is the Summer Sketchbook Spectacular Exhibit?

This fall students have been using their surroundings and the sketchbook prompts I posted on my blog this summer for inspiration.  They then sketched out their ideas and created final masterpieces.

All students will have artwork, Artist Trading Cards, or their sketchbooks on view at the exhibit.

What is Summer Sketchbook Spectacular?

Summer Sketchbook Spectacular 2014 is a FREE art initiative for artists of all ages in York, ME and beyond. ANYONE can participate!  This project was developed by Coastal Ridge Elementary School artist educator Ashley Norman.  It’s a great way to start an art practice or motivation to continue your practice through the summer.  If you didn’t get to participate this past summer no need to fret, I will be posting again next year.  In the meantime you can check out all of the archived prompts by clicking on the link below:
